Cuckmere Valley Canoe Club - CVCC
All About the Cuckmere Valley Canoe

Membership to the Cuckmere Valley Canoe Club is open to all regardless of ability, age or any other factor. Applications for membership can be made by submitting a membership application form to the club secretary at the address shown on the form.

All applications are subject to approval as we are occasional forced to close membership to new members due to limitation on the number of boats, equipment & instructors the club has available.

A membership subscription fee is payable in order to become a member of the club. CVCC is a non profit organisation and all fees & donations are re-invested in the club to the benefit of its members.

Whilst some trips and events are organised outside of the club season and offered to club members there is no gurantee of being able to paddle outside of the official club season (April to October).

Membership fees - these cover cost of the following items

  • Use of Club owned or rented facilities during organised sessions.
  • Insurance of club by affiliation to the British Canoe Union.
  • Tuition & Paddler Development by qualified BCU coaches.
  • Participation in club events and official club trips.
  • Free copy of Throwline, the club newsletter.

Hire of equipment fees - these cover the cost of the following items

  • Use of club canoes/kayaks, cagoule top, paddles, buoyancy aid and helmet during club sessions & events.
  • Renewal costs of above equipment from time to time due to wear and tear.

Note: Club membership does NOT ensure free parking in the centre car park. Use of the canoeist car park is limited to organised club sessions only & for those carrying kayaks/canoes on their car.
