Cuckmere Valley Canoe Club (CVCC)

Welcome!

We are a kayaking & canoeing club based in the beautiful setting of the Seven Sisters Country Park, between Eastbourne & Seaford on the banks of the Cuckmere River. During the 'season' (for us that is usually April-October), the Club meets every Sunday from 9.45am to about 12.30pm.

Join us and get paddling.

CVCC is a family-friendly club. We welcome everyone, from 8 years old upwards, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced paddler looking for a new challenge.

The Club has equipment that can be used by members, so just come along.
We are primarily a club that introduces people to paddlesport and develops their skills to a competent standard. There are many directions our sport can take and the Club will do its very best to guide you; whether you want to take British Canoeing awards or just enjoy a gentle paddle.facebook 1526229213285

Our Club is in the perfect location: each Sunday, we can pick from the flat waters of the meanders of the Cuckmere River, the tidal section of the river down to the sea and the Cuckmere Haven Bay about a mile away. Here, we paddle on the sea or play in the surf when possible. Regular trips away from the Club include those to River Medway, River Wye and various whitewater courses. See the Calendar for more detail.

All our coaches are British Canoeing qualified, DBS checked and insured. They are all volunteers and give their time freely to the club, making us a friendly and supportive group.

Want to give us a try before joining?

During the summer we run Go Canoeing 'Come and Try It' sessions open to non-members. Click here to find out when our Go Canoeing trial sessions are on.

Members can 'Bring a Friend'
Throughout the Season, members can bring a friend along to the Sunday Club paddle for only £10. Spaces are limited, so this must be booked in advance. To book, just pick 'Bring a Friend' from the drop-down 'Information' menu above.
